MEN STOP IGNORING TAKING CARE OF YOUR SKIN!!!

Men Skin Is Not The Same!

Women do it and guys should, too. It's time for men to start treating their skin with a little care and respect.
Men who ignore taking care of their skin, or who dip into their wife's or girlfriend's skin care products may want to rethink their strategy if they wish to preserve the health and appearance of their body's largest organ.

Skin care products for men are a growing category in the marketplace and their popularity appears to be a part of an increased overall focus on living a healthier lifestyle.
As awareness of the differences in men's skin care needs increases, the demand for products specifically created for men has also increased, especially in the last two to three years.
Men's skin is on average about 22% thicker than women's skin, with denser fat and collagen layers and stronger underlying musculature.
Although all skin is affected by genetic and environmental factors, these strengths generally allow men's skin to age at a slower pace.

There are significant differences in the needs of men's skin compared with that of women's skin, so using products designed for women is not the best idea for men.
While men's skin is generally slower to show signs of aging, it faces the irritation of daily shaving.
A healthy skin care routine for men starts simply, with choosing a cleansing gel to wash your face with, rather than soap. It also involves taking extra care when shaving and the use of an aftershave balm, or other moisture barrier product.
If your skin is easily irritated by shaving, it could be because the razor blade literally strips away the top few layers of skin along with the whiskers, removing the skin's natural protective moisture barrier. Look for shaving products with the words anti-irritation, non-irritating, or for sensitive skin on the label.

Old-school jars of soft shaving cream lathered on with a fine, soft bristled shaving brush are another good option. Such products contain added emollients such as natural oils, glycerin and vitamins, to help put back the moisture that the razor whisks away. Use a super sharp razor and when the job is done, don't splash on aftershave laden with alcohol. Instead, follow shaving with an aftershave balm designed to soothe and calm the skin, minimizing irritation, redness, and burning.
Anti-wrinkle eye serums and face protecting moisturizers that contain Matrixyl 3000, Collagen and vitamin C and E may help to minimize some of the skin damage caused by free radicals that land on skin in smoggy environments.
For skin that is oily or shines easily, choose a protective moisturizer that contains oil and shine inhibitors.

Dry and mature skins will want to look for moisture rich products that may contain the words anti-wrinkle or firming on their labels.
Moisturizers with SPF (sun protection factor) can benefit all skin types, as the sun not only burns, but is the leading cause of skin cancer, and also the major contributor to a prematurely aged appearance.
